Cooking Time
24-49 minutes
Ingredients
- 100g plain flour
- 200ml buttermilk
- 1 medium cauliflower (750g), leaves removed and cut into florets
- 50g sweet smoked paprika
- 20g garlic granules
- 100g hot sauce
- 15ml olive oil
- 11g honey or maple syrup
Method
- Combine the flour, buttermilk, paprika, and garlic granules in a bowl. Stir until smooth batter forms.
- Add the cauliflower florets to the batter and mix until they are evenly coated. Let the mixture rest for 5 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F). Heat the olive oil in the bottom of the basket.
- Remove the cauliflower from the batter, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the florets in a single layer at the top of the basket.
- Cook for 18-20 minutes, shaking halfway through, until browned on the edges.
- Meanwhile, combine the hot sauce and honey or maple syrup in a bowl. Stir to mix.
- After cooking the cauliflower, add it to the bowl with the hot sauce mixture. Toss to coat evenly.
- Return the cauliflower to the air fryer basket and cook for an additional 6-9 minutes, until hot and well-cooked through.
